When discussing our general policies, including the pricing for our different itineraries, we decided that we would be guided by everything that we have learned from our guests in the years working in the industry, and would try – to the best of our abilities – to be fair to our guests, our crew, and our whole team.

Included in the week’s package

The package price for each trip reflects the amount you need to pay to join us for a week, and – if you choose to – leave without having any hidden costs.

Included in this price is your transfer from and back to Hurghada airport, your 7-night stay on board (until 10 am on departure day), all meals and snacks, all non-alcoholic beverages (including water, tea, coffee and soft drinks), a standard 12l aluminum cylinder (DIN/INT), weights (& a weight belt, if required), air fills for the week, port fees, and the mandatory marine park/environmental fee!

If the boat is departing from or arriving in Port Ghalib, transfers from or back to Marsa Alam airport are included.

Prices are based on a share in a twin or double cabin. Single cabin supplements are possible depending on availability.

Cabin requests

Two cabin types are available on M/Y Scuba Scene: 4 suites on the mid-deck, and a total of 9 twin cabins (8 on the lower deck & 1 on the upper deck level).

There is an extra charge of $100 per person for the main deck suites. Please  contact us for the availability of the suites on the itinerary you are interested in. Have a look at the boat’s floor plans here, for a better idea of the layout and location of the different cabins.

If you would like to book a whole cabin for yourself, please inquire about conditions and availabilities .

Extras

You can choose from a list of extras, such as a Nitrox package, rental equipment, and dive courses. These extras can either be added to your safari price and paid online with your initial booking, or you can decide on them later and pay for them on board at the end of your week with us.

The only extras that have to be paid directly on board are alcoholic beverages (beer & wine), on board merchandising, the gases for tech dives, and the gratuities/tips for the crew.

Group specials

Please contact us if you are interested in chartering the whole boat or have a group of  divers you would like to book in.

Payment options

Trip payments are done through direct bank transfer. With your booking, we require a 25% deposit, the full safari price is due 60 days before the trip departs.

On board, all payments can be made by credit or debit card, or in cash in any of the acceptable currencies here in Egypt (USD, GBP, EUR or EGP).

The minimum amount for card payments on board is 25 US$.

Any payments by credit card will have a 3% surcharge fee added; debit card payments are not subjected to any surcharges.

We cannot accept American Express cards.

Cancellation policy

Up until 3 months (90 days) before your trip, you are entitled to a full refund of your payments (minus administrative fees).

Up until 1 ½  months (45 days) before the trip, we will refund 50% of the full trip price.

NO refunds will be given within 45 days of the trip’s departure date.

If  – for any reason – we cannot provide M/Y Scuba Scene for your trip, a boat of matching standards will be provided. In that case, a guide from our team will accompany you.

Requirements to join us on board

Documents:

Your passport needs to be valid for six months, counted from your planned departure date from Egypt.

Every diving guest needs to hold a valid dive insurance, and we strongly recommend an additional travel insurance. On board, you will be required to sign a liability release, a safe diving standards statement of understanding, and a medical form confirming that you are fit for diving.

With known medical conditions that may affect your ability to dive, please present a medical statement confirming your fitness to dive. Guests unable to provide this statement might be excluded from diving.

Dive requirements:

All diving guests on board need to hold a valid dive certificate from an internationally accepted organisation. If you are planning on getting certified on board, please contact us before to ensure the itinerary is suitable for your existing level and the qualification you are planning to acquire.

We recommend a minimum of 30 logged dives and PADI Advanced Open Water qualification (or equivalent) for our North & Tiran trips.

For our Marine Park trips, i.e. all trips including Brothers or Daedalus, we recommend a minimum of 50 logged dives, PADI Advanced Open Water and Deep Specialty qualifications. Both of these qualifications can be done on board, but please contact us first to confirm.

The dive guides on board have the right to stop any guest from doing certain dives, if they think conditions are too challenging for their experience level, or any other reason.
